DR JEREMY DYSSELL

Dr Dyssell is in private practice as a Paediatrician.

He graduated in 1982 from the University of Cape Town, attained the Diploma in Child health in 1986, was awarded the Fellowship in Paediatrics in 1990 and completed his Masters in Paediatrics at the University of Witwatersrand in 1994. He did research related to tick bite fever and dopamine effects in neonates with hyaline membrane disease. He is co-author of a paper on AIDS in children.

He worked at Grootte Schuur Hospital, Cecilia Makiwane Hospital and Baragwanath Hospital in pre-graduate years and as consultant at Coronation Hospital and JG Strijdom Hospital in Johannesburg.

He has been in Somerset West since 1993, and is director of PATCH (Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse in the Helderberg). He is also active as part-time consultant in paediatrics in Hottentots Holland Hospital in Somerset West.
