ADÉLE MALAN
General Manager: HUM

Adéle studied towards and qualified in several nursing disciplines; General nursing science, Midwifery, Operating theatre nursing science, Community nursing science, Nursing Management and as Nurse Educator through several tertiary institutions. She obtained a post-basic degree in nursing education and management at the University of South Africa.

She served in the public sector for 23 years where she worked in various clinical disciplines including operating theatres and later in management. She retired from the service in the position of Assistant Director in 1997. During the period worked in management she studied commerce and industrial psychology and completed two degrees; B. Admin and B. Admin (Hons.) Industrial Psychology. Adéle joined MHS UBUNTU in 1997 as Operations Manager for HUM and was promoted to General Manager in 2005. During this period she completed the Certificate in Business Management and a Masters degree in Business Management: M. Com.(BM) at the Rand Afrikaans University. She did a DLP in Pharmaco-economics, in which she has an interest. Adéle serves on the BHF criteria committee, the BHF-NHRPL private hospitals advisory committee and is a member of the Coding and Hospital Experts Panel (CHEP).
