Qualified at Stellenbosch in 1980 and completed Internship there in 1981. Spent 1982 and 1983 in SANDF in Lebowa, and 1984 as medical officer in Pietersburg Hospital. Qualifies M Med Int (Cum Laude) in 1988, and has been part-time consultant at Tygerberg Hospital from 1988 to 1992, while practicing as Physician in Panorama Mediclinic.
