WILDMAN Pharmacist, later qualifying as: Family Planning Officer Emergency Medical Assistant Work Experience: In the early 1990's Tony accepted a position with the Cape Midlands branch of the Pharmaceutical Society to manage the MediKredit (PE) office . The office processed pharmacy prescription claims for the eastern cape besides operating a data capture bureau for debtors. Non pharmacy customers included Volkswagen, Goodyear & Firestone. In 1996 the Pharmaceutical Society sold MediKredit to the five regional offices & under the leadership of David Boyce, sold on to Pharmaceutical giants – Glaxo Wellcome & Eli Lilly. Tony took the big plunge & moved to Johannesburg in 1997 as Regional Manager of the Claims Processing division of MediKredit JHB. He left there at the end of 1999 to head up Hospiclear (a JV between MHS & IQ Health Tech). Hospiclear is an electronic claims adjudication & verification system for hospital claims. This is also being extended accommodate other disciplines e.g. pharmacy, optometry & doctor claims. Optimax (a Optical front-end system), a recent acquisition by MHS, now falls under Tony’s responsibilities, along with HospiCHEQ and OptiCHEQ.
