BRONCHITIS

Common causes are viruses (coryza, influenza, measles, whooping cough) and pyogenic organisms such as Strep. Pneumoniae, H.influenzae and, rarely, Staph.pyogenes.

Predisposing factors include cold, damp and dusty atmosphere and cigarette smoking.
